When i push the power button in my laptop it starts beeping with the "floppy disk" logo light on close to the power button. nothing appears on the screen and it keeps beeping
I think you may mean the Hard Disk light not floppy, although, if you have a floppy disc drive, check there's no floppy disc in it as it will stop the boot up. But if it's not the floppy, and the hard disc drive light stays on, possibly the hard drive is faulty, maybe damaged sectors. The other maybe is a possible memory fault, although the beep codes can only be identified if you know the motherboard make. Your rating are important.

probably its the hard disk..since it happened that i dropped on the floor, though its on carpet and its not high at all..do u think its much better to bring it to comp usa or geek squad? if u know any places that is better pls tell.thank your proposed solution or problem.
