You've already got all the software you need. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as iPhoto.

Testimonial: "Thank you. I will purchase a card reader once I get the battery replaced. I appreciate your time in assisting me with this. "

I have a ds6618 and cant retrieve my pics what do i do ,i'm running vista OS and it says i need a driver ,i lost my disc, what are my options?

Connect your camera to computer using your usb lead. Go to my computer and you should see the camera (probably disc E ) Double click on E continually until camera files and pictures are shown. Highlight the pics you require and select move to file (move to my pictures) This achieves the transfer to your computer

Cannot find installation software for mac os 10.4.11

If your reason for wanting the software is to download pics, just get a card reader and download to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can view the pics or open them in iphoto.

Can anyone tell me where I can download a copy of the Cd driver for a "OREGON SCIENTIFIC DS6868" Digital Camera thanks joe

The oregon companies SUPPORT page
or here http://www2.oregonscientific.com/shop/product.asp?cid=21&scid=80&pid=648#

download the file from that link
it should have the drivers for it OR

http://ev1-3.driverguide.net/mirror0/getfile.php/DS6618.exe?hash=b2ed8ba5a0812cef43e2be5549490f27&did=735574&source_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww2.oregonscientific.com%2Fassets%2Fsoftware%2FDS6618.exe&lfile=DS6618.exe&time=1257803375&auth=70d62f7c6cc95e2ffb11fa95bed2c37b&file=DS6618.exe

It is not nescessary to have the software either

ou can use the Camera without the installing the software supplied on the software installation disc.

The simplest way to transfer the photos from the Camera to the Computer is to connect it to the USB port of a Computer then follow the following steps:

1. For Windows Computer:
(a) as soon as the Camera is connected the computer recognizes it as a removable drive.
(b) open the windows exlorer by pressing the "Windows + E" key together.
(c) locate the removable drive in the windows explorer that represents the connected camera.
(d) double click the drive to navigate through the files and folders, then double click on the DCIM folder to view all the images.or navigate through other available folders to check if the images are stored in them too.
(e) select all the desired images then copy them by pressing "CTRL+C" then paste them on the hard drive of the Computer by pressing "CTRL+V".

2. For Mac"
(a) as soon as the Camera is connected the computer recognizes it as a "NO NAME" folder and display it on the Desktop.
(b) double click the "NO Name" folder to navigate through the files and folders, then double click on the DCIM folder to view all the images. or navigate through other available folders to check if the images are stored in them too.
(c) select all the desired images then copy them then paste them on the hard drive of the Computer by using the copy and paste operation.

Furthermore, you may use Windows Fax Viewer, Windows Photo Gallery or Windows Movie Maker to view and edit images in Windows and iPhoto in Mac.

I've lost the CD to load the software on my pc, where can i get this software

If your computer is running a current operating system, such as Windows XP/Vista/7 or Mac OS X, there is no driver available for this camera to communicate directly. The best thing to do is to purchase ($10 - $15) a USB card reader that can read the CF card from your camera. There are programs 'built in' to current Windows and Mac OSs that can read the pictures from the card and load them directly into your computer.

Got a mac osx version 10.3.9 & samsung NV3 sortware won't work

Hi Andy
Why bother? You're using a Mac, use the Macs own software.
Just plug the camera in to the computer and watch what happens.
