Red is out of alignment

I tried the convergence feature but the red lines wont go any higher in the top left bottom left and bottom right corners of the screen. the blue is fine. and also the hd picture scrambles on both cable hd signal and one from an xbox 360 is there any way for me to fix this problem at home? or do i need a very expensive tv repairman to come and fix it?

The vertical green convergence adjustment is broken

Either your convergence ic's are bad or the convergence digital module ( if your model has one ) . I would have it looked at by a service company.

Mitsubishi WS55859, was getting 2 and 2 blink, replaced the pico fuses and convergence chip - 3 times, each fix worked better than the next but evenually failed - now have it working, trying to adjust...

The most likely cause is shorted convergence chips and possibly a few pico fuses.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get a convergenece repair kit with instructions from the links below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

Problem #1) Convergence

Yours may have one or more of the following symptoms...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2
Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

You can see some more examples and find a fix herebb0cf99.pnghttp://www.fixya.com/support/r2861467-solution_video_looking_whiteish_dull

Mitsubishi ws-65809 Convergence will not align correctly

You may also have a resistor burnt out for the convergence ICs.. They are all right in front of the ICs and will usually show browninsh if burnt up. If bad, replace the pair and maybe the ICs as well if they've failed again. If your new ICs fixed the lines so they'll move, then you may have problems with the centering magnets on the yokes of the crts. Dont move the yokes or magnets if you can help it, but look to see if some of the manufacturers glue broke free and let the magnet spin around the neck of the tube. If so, try to put it back where it was and then re-converge.

Converge problem

Sounds like convergence issue--replace Stk IC's mounted

on large heat sinks. Check power supply for open fuse device.

Re-check convergence alignment.
