Question about Amana AOCS3040 Electric Single Oven
I hit the same F9 problem when trying to self-clean, except that the door was locked OPEN.
After much trial and error, I found the following fix: 1. Switch circuit breaker off. 2. Switch circuit breaker on. 3. Press Bake button. 4 Press the small/inside button which indicates that the oven door is closed.
The lock mechanism opened and the oven now works fine.

Digital lites on my control went out. The lock on the door activated. The time will reappear when the stove burners are turned. Otherwise, there is no lite on the screen.?????

We tried resetting the circuit breaker several times and it wouldn't work. Amana told us to set it to bake and see what happened. When it clicked on in Bake mode, the F9 code disappeared and the door unlocked. Good luck.

Hi~ According the the manual the code F9 - door lock or circuit malfunction. Try either pressing oven cancel or disconnecting and then reconnecting the electrical supply (circuit breaker or fuse). If this doesn't help, the only other option is to call a servicer or the company directly for other solutions. The manual is not as helpful as you would think it should be. Linda :)

Hi
F9 is a door lock error and to solve this issue you can hold
the light switch for 15 seconds, this will reset the control. If it won't work
then hold the light switch in and set the unit to clean and after a minute
press cancel to cancel the clean cycle. If still it won't work then the door
lock assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post
back for further assistance.

I have the same code and the door will not open. It all started with the self cleaning
I'm havong the same problem with my oven. I have tried to break in it but I couldn't. So I'm asking for your help on what I should do to fix this problem that i'm having.
Thanks,
Charles
i have f9 code and i canot open oven what i should do????
We are having the same exact problem.
Same problem it is so annoying.
My wife pushed the self clean button and shortly afterward F9 error and PF came up. We replaced the motor latch motor to no avail because that is what the manual said was wrong. Well I am so glad a guest solved this problem with Amanas help otherwise Sears wanted $475 to replace the board. Unplug your oven and then plug back in PF is lit up and the oven goes into clean mode I just pushed bake and it cleared it up oven working again how simple was that. NO More self cleaning and all this cost me $225 and Sears and the other idiot I had come to diagnose the problem really make me proud to know how smart they really are.
Followed the instructions--circuit breaker off, breaker on, bake button, then pressing the small/inside button. Did it work? No.
