My ps2 wont turn on

It's probably not playayble

You have cracked your LCD screen (the screen that displays the picture). The glass on top of it is called a Digitizer Screen (the screen that recognizes your finger). This is a fixable problem, but the cost to repair will depend on the phone, insurance or lack of, and who you get to repair it for you....hope this helps you some.

you are still playing ps2 ? anyways you have probably knocked laser out of allignment when you dropped it

If your PS2 works fine with most of the games and won’t play a few..Then you should try this trick to play them too on your PS2:

1. Turn on your PS2 without inserting any disc.
2. Menu screen will appear like:
3. Press the (triangle) Button to enter Version Information Menu that looks like
4. Highlight the Play Station Driver as above and again press (triangle).
5. New screen will appear like
6. Highlight the Disc Speed as above and press X button,to enter Disc Speed Menu
7. And set it from Standard to "Fast".
8. After you set Disc Speed to Fast, Press and Hold Reset Button to turn off your console.
9. Then again Press and Hold Reset Button till the Blue Light turns on.
10. Remove the Reset Button and Press it again.

Be patient and wait till the game loads itself. If your lens is in good condition then it will play game in first go else try again till it PLAY your game. If still your Grand Turismo 4 DVD wont work then you must clean your PS2 lens.Watch following video to learn about cleaning lens:

Just turn the ps2 up horizontly and when you hear the ticks (if its slimline) just tap it against you knee. This will knock the laser a little bit away from the line in the center, and it will read. DONT DO IT SO HARD THOUGH.

The lens maybe dirty or damage. Open your ps2 console and get a soft brush and clean the lens. If you are afraid to open it try to buy some dvd lens cleaner cd.

okay, try this: 1. Start up PS2 with no disc 2. select 'Browser', press triangle. 3. select 'Console', press triangle. 4. select 'Diagnostics', press X, select 'ON'. 5. press 'O' to back out of this menu. 6. select 'Playstation Drive', press triangle. 7. select 'Disc Speed', press X, select 'FAST'. 8. press 'O' to back out of menu. 9. turn off PS2. 10. insert disc. The Diagnostics should run and automatically adjust your PS2 to play the game. I got this "FIX" from someone who had the same problem. Hope this helps :D

Due to the knocking of ps2 by ur son,it might have affected the reading lense of the ps2.so i request u to open the console.you would see another cover covering the lense.open tat too.with the help of tissue just try to wipe out the lense n jus turn on the ps2 without closing anythin to jus check whether everythin is workin..if the dvd works,then arrange back or put back everythin back to it's position..hope this would work...else try calling a service engineer.

Try moving the the small machine the lens is mounted on but don't touch the lens and also try spinning the motor (where you put the disk). It could have got stuck.

get a new power cord perhaps. it possibly broke. if not you may need a new ps2
