Lost the cd for my printer dell a960

You don't need to purchase it, you can download the installer/driver from Dell official website. Click this LINK, the download page for Dell Printer A960 will open up, select your Operating System from the "Operating System" box, eg. Windows xp, wait for few seconds, all the available download, click the download "Download" button beside the driver's name, a new dialog box will pop up, again click "Download" button below the "Download via your internet browser", download will begin automatically. If you are asked to agree the Dell terms conditions, click "Accept" or "Agree".

Connect the printer to your computer via USB cable and download the drivers to this site. You can use the Vista driver since windows 7 and vista are almost the same platform.

Yes you can install this printer even without the printer setup disc by downloading the printer software/driver that you need for it

You can download the printer software/driver that you need for this from this link, just click HERE and proceed with the download.

Delte the driver in the printers folder and reinstall. Accept the one that pops up (that is the correct one). This happens sometimes. Hope it helps

Those custom software is developed by third parties for DELL printers, so you have to search for that product in the site of the developers.
Sometimes you may get a free version or you have to pay, depending upon the vendor.

google dell.com click drivers and support type in home machines/ printers/ a960 you'll see there isn't windows 7 listed but to the right they'll have how to install with windows 7 for Dell A960 technical info. Hope that helps

Suggest you creat a folder, name it as you see fit & save these on your PC. If possible burn these to a CD for later. Save the links as well in your favorites.
