Uniden cordless phone. No dial tone.

If you have a phone line that is active, lift the handset from the cradle, enter the number and press TALK. Or just press TALK if you want to verify that you have a tone signal.

Another tip is to remove the battery from the handset for at least 5 seconds. You might want to get a voltage meter and check the voltage on that new battery - maybe it isn't charging properly.

The problem was the main phone line not the phone itself

I am still in need of a solution. It is not a 2 phone (cordless) it is 1 and know I have not solved the problem, I was hoping you would be able to help. I am not interested in purchasing anything other than what I already have.

Please help me resolve my problem, it doesn't sound like anyone has looked at or reviewed it. Thank you

When phone is on standby press memory-the talk led lite should flash. enter the phone # you want to store then push memeory again. Select the speed dial # you'd like to use for this phone # (0-9) then you should here a tone indicating it was successful. Let me know if this works for you-it should!!

the circut inside is acting up and will need repair, this can happen whenthe batterys are low in the phones and the base does not detect them , also the detect circut coud be bad , and or the automatic pick up circut for the answering machine

It may not be registed with the main unit. You may need to register the handset. With my uniden all i have to do is put it in the main base until it says what handset it is (it should be a number).

Dial Tone comes back even after I dial the phone!

Why does my phone allow me to dial a number, hear the numbers being dialed and then go back to a dial tone? Help me I want to call out!

Sir the you are dialing on needs to have the other dial mode in operation. You have the ability to change dial mode on your phone. Instructions to change dial mode are usually at the beginning of the manual under install /set up the phone. If you are currently using pulse, please change the mode to tone. If using tone please change the mode to pulse. Doing this will allow you to call out.

you put it on the handset with the answering machine for a few seconds and that is how you register it.

make sure phone is off not in talk mode- then press the memory buton-press desired number 1-9-press memory button again,the display shows enter name -press memory button to save the name.then the display shows enter number-enter the number then press memory again and you will hear a tone that confirms
