The remote control I want to program is a Verizon Fios TV remote control Model RC144 5302/00B

  • richardroste Nov 14, 2008

None of the submitted codes worked to turn off the TV with the power button.

  • richardroste Nov 15, 2008

No luck, the new codes did not work.

  • richardroste Nov 15, 2008

I have been using the identical procedure entering the codes.

Non of the codes you gave worked.

  • richardroste Nov 15, 2008

Are there anyother codes I should try to program the remote to the TV? Codes tried 0807,0002,0502,0115,0520,0919,0324,0247,0402,0408,0109,0715,0717,0054,0030,0171,0057,0081,0198,0205,3005,3006,3018,3042,3082,3095,3099,3105,3139,3161,3186,3192,3196,3210,3218,3221,3229,3235,3236,3237,3245, and 3246

  • richardroste Nov 15, 2008

I had already used the procedure they recommended to find a code on Verizon's site. It did not work.

  • richardroste Nov 15, 2008

I had previously emailed them at this site a week ago. They responded to the email without a solution or recommendation.

If you can not find a code that works with your remote and tv, you may need to just buy a universal remote cheap and a code booklet will come with and it will give you code to try that will work with your tv, and they will tell you how to set the remote to let it work with your tv.

I can't find any other codes. Your best option may be to contact the manufacturer and try toget it from them. There is the possibility that it got changed and they are about the only ones that could tell you.

  • Anonymous Nov 15, 2008

Of course there is always the option of getting another remote that is easier to deal with. This may be a better option.

Turn on your TV.
4. Press and hold the TV key.
5. While holding down the TV key, press the OK key.
6. Release both keys. The Device Keys will blink twice.
7. Enter the 4-digit TV code you circled. The TV key will blink 3 times.
8. To test to see if this was the correct code, point the remote at your TV and press Power. If the TV turns off, you have successfully programmed your remote.
9. If the TV did not turn off, repeat all the steps with the next code in the list.
10. For future reference, underline the code that worked for you.

Note: If some of the keys on the remote do not operate your TV as you would expect, then try the next code in the list for your brand of TV.

These are the codes:
0057, 0081, 0198, 0205, 3005, 3006, 3018, 3042, 3082, 3095, 3099, 3105, 3139, 3161, 3186, 3192, 3196, 3210, 3218, 3221, 3229, 3235, 3236, 3237, 3245, 3246

This manual will give you ALL details:
http://www22.verizon.com/Content/CommonTemplates/Includes/download/Philips_Remote_Manual.pdf

Hope that helps! Dont forget to ACCEPT this solution if it works :)

Cheers!

Hmm, now that I think about this:

I have the same TV but no code I tried would shut off power either, maybe it's a bug. My mother has a FUNAI, it's the same exact TV as Sylvania, it won't shut off also. Bought both at Sears and didn't notice different brand names until I got them home and unboxed.

If you want the Power Key to control multiple devices at once…
    1. Press and hold the STB key.
    2. While holding down the STB key, press OK.
    3. Release both keys. The Device Keys will blink twice.
    4. Press 9 - 7 - 7. The STB key will blink twice.
    5. One after the other, press each Device Key you want the Power Key to control, in the order you want them to turn on or off. Each selected Device Key will blink twice after it is pressed.
    6. Press OK when done. The STB key will blink three times to indicate success in programming.

For example, to program the Power Key to turn on or off your TV, AUX and
STB, in that order with one press of the Power Key, press [STB+OK], [9-7-7],
    [TV], [AUX], [STB], [OK].

    Factory Reset
To reset the remote to the original factory defaults:
    • Press and hold the STB key.
    • While holding down the STB key, press OK.
    • Release both keys. The Device Keys will blink twice.
    • Press 9 - 0 - 0. The STB key will blink 3 times to indicate success in programming.

    Cheers!

If none of the codes worked, try the following procedure. (As before, we will use the example of a TV. For other devices use the appropriate Device Key instead of the TV key in step 2 and 3.)

        1. Turn on your TV.

        2. Press and hold the TV key.

        3. While holding down the TV key, press OK.

        4. Release both keys. The Device Keys will blink twice.

        5. Press 9 - 2 - 2.

        6. Point the remote at the TV.

          7. Press the forward key >

          8. Press -->>-- this arrow key Every time you press-->>--- the remote sends out a new power-off command to the TV. Keep pressing--->>--- until the TV turns off. (You can press this key ----<<---- to go back.)

    9. When the TV turns off, you have found the right code. Press OK to store this code. Note: There are over 300 TV and DVD codes. The most common codes are tried first, but you may still need to press--->>--- this key over 300 times to find the right code. If you reach the end of the list of codes the entire remote will flash twice and return to normal operation. You can exit programming at any time by pressing Exit.

if this solution helps u please rate the solution.

    thanks.

My Sylvania model LC195SL9 A will not connect with Vista

The TV cannot support the video resolution that your PC puts out, you need to find out what the resolution the TV can do in PC mode, then set the video on your PC to that resolution.

The codes that i have from comcast won't program my television to the dvr

Actually the codes you receive from the cable company are to be used for the cable remote. It allows people with most brands of televisions to use the cable remote to turn the TV itself on and off and to adjust the volume. If the codes you have don't work for your TV this just means you'll have to use two remotes: the TV remote for power and volume of the TV and the cable remote for everything else.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

I need the RCA remote code for Durabrand tv

Since the Funai code does not work, you have to use the CODE SEARCH feature.

The remote may already be set up to operate your brand of TV, VCR, Laserdisc, Satellite Receiver, Audio Equipment, or Cable Box. It is pre-programmed with the following codes: TV-000, VCR1-000, AUDIO-003, and SAT•Cable Box-000. For brands that require programming, there are two ways to program: Using Code Lists or Code Search. Use Code Search if the code lists are not available or if the codes from the lists do not operate a device.

Programming a Device using CODE SEARCH
1. Manually turn on your device (TV, VCR, Laserdisc Player, Satellite Receiver, Cable Box or Audio Equipment).
2. Press and hold CODE•SRCH.
3. Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR1, VCR2•LD, SAT•CABLE, or AUDIO).
4. Release CODE•SRCH.
5. Press POWER repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to
100 times).
6. Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
7. With the device on, press another button, for example CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond,
repeat steps 1-7.
