I have had this product for a year and have had numerous problems with it. Fortunatly most have solved themselves by sitting unplugged and unused. The most recent problem has not been so simple. One day it just stopped working altogether. The green light indicating that it was on, was on however there was no display, the remote had no effect on it what so ever, no volume, or even anything else. I unplugged the unit and left it that way for some time. What I pu=lugged it back in the red light came on indicating power but not on. I then pressed the power button and the green light came on but nothing else. The only way to shut the unit off was to unplug it. Anyone have any ideas. It really has not even been used too often.
I have this exact problem, it appears the power on/off switch no longer works. After re-setting by unplugging the unit, use the remote only. As for the display, I find that if I turn the home theatre on last, the unit works and if I turn it on first, it behaves as you described.

Could it be the electrical contacts within the battery well ahve become tarnished. If you can scrape them with a flat screwdriver or similar tool that may solve the problem. Similarly for the battery contacts themselves. Hope this helps. Please rate Fixya answers.

why it doesn't come. just connect the RCA cable to the output pins of TV and connect them to the input female jacks of home theatre receiver. or if the TV has optical out and the home theatre reciever had optical in. thats the best option. just connect one optical cable to enjoy the 5.1 sound. tell me clear problem if u r nt solved.
i have harmon kardon speakers that came with my hp a815n, i recently had to reinstall my operating system, and i can't hear anything from my speakers. i've tried installing drivers and "searching for new hardware" and i can't seem to get it.........please help
you have to take off the slide panels on both sides to take off the cover. the slide panels are held by screws on the bottom of the unit. you take off the two small panels and then you have another screw or two on each side that you have to take off before you can take off the cover
It is quite possible that the water line which feeds the ice maker is frozen. Whirlpool manufactures a "REPLACEMENT" water line that solves this problem. Fortunatly our problem occured while the refrigerator was still under warranty. I would suggest that anyone owning a Whirlpool product purchase the longest extended warranty available! They USED to manufacture a quality product. But I guess they just don't care about the consumer any longer. It is all about money!!
if you are a tech from your explanation you could be having problem with your microchip in the standby power supply circuit to verify if it is your microchip bridge your relay if your tv comes on it is your chip if it does not, start checking the regulator in the power supply and associated components.make voltage checks in your horizontal circuit including your flyback transfomer probably there is problem in that section also if you cannot do it take the set to a tech to do the repairs.good luck.
