Sent faxes keeps printing to fax machine.

We have all the workstations in our network fax through the fax console on our Windows 2003 server. It transmits successfully to the intended recipients but it also prints out a copy of the sent fax to the fax machine. I'm trying to disable the print out copy but have not been successful. I've looked at just about every configuration on the fax console. Any help?

Windows Fax and Scan issues in Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard

You may need to look into 3rd party software, since this is how most work FAXes are managed. Especially with older versions of Windows, since FAXing is not really supported.

Fax driver missing

Microsoft Office 2010 has a feature that lets you send Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files as Internet faxes. This feature relies on having the Windows Fax Printer Driver or Fax Services installed on the computer to send the faxes. The Windows Fax feature is not enabled by default for all editions of Windows. If your edition of Windows includes the driver or service, you must install it before you can send Internet faxes.
Which operating system are you using? Windows 7
  1. In Control Panel, click Programs, and then click Programs and Features.

Note In Classic view, double-click Programs and Features.

  1. Click Turn Windows features on or off.
  2. In the Windows Features dialog box, under Print and Document Services, select the Windows Fax and Scan check box.
  3. Click OK.

  2. Right-click Roles, and then click Add Roles.

I have a Daewoo Facsimile FA101 and i would like to use it as a regular printer. Is there any dialtone simulating software out there so i can print using any fax console and print it directly to the fax...

I'm not sure why you would like this type of set up but I can only assume don't want to through that fax machine away.
the only I can of how this can be arranged is by setting up a fax server, this being said, you would also have to configure a client from which you would send the fax to the server which would in turn send it to the fax machine. as far as I know a sofware called hyla fax can assist you with this daunting task which requires that your sever be running linux http://www.hylafax.org/content/Main_Page although there are other windows solutions like ActFax...http://www.actfax.com/en/installation.html this is usually used at a business level in which enterprises receive faxes in massive quantities and need to have that fax either be printed or emailed to some one in the company.
I guess you can try to configure the server and the client on the same machine but you will have to read into the documentation on how to do this. actfax allows you to download the client and server for testing porpuses.
good luck!

Network Printing Issue. I'm running 2008 Domain Controller 2003 File and Print Server. Cisco 3560G switches No 3rd Party print management software User workstations are all Windows Xp Pro SP2 Printers are...

DNS errors then? can you map to the printer via hostname too? Are you sure you're not using SP3? When we upgraded to SP3, we had to use the new drivers. Try new drivers.Have you tried just rebuilding your print server? try sharing the printer off your computer in the data center and try t print to that. When you ping the data center from the user's computer... what is the delay?

Cannot print to network printer

Is this printer installed on a server and shared over a network? Or is it installed independently on each workstation?
If it's on a server, printing could be "paused", or set to "use offline" Go to the "printers and Faxes" dialog box, and 'right click" on the printer icon, is there an option to either "resume printing", or "use printer ON line"? If so, select this option.
If it's not on a server then it would be extremely unlikely that this condition would happen on all workstations
Other than that make sure that the Subnet mask is set correctly on the printer.
If that doesn't work....it's probably time to try re-installing the driver.

Not sure if faxes have been sent successfully how can i tell?

I am not technically qualified for faxes but most fax machines i have used have a setting that allows you to have a receipt that prints off after you have sent one, this is something that can be turned off if not wanted, look in the manual and it will tell you how to reset it, i think it was called "polling" after a fax has been sent it prints off this little bit that says what time it was sent how many copies and time received, fax number it was sent to and sometimes company name etc some machines i have seen and used have a poll button after you have sent your fax, try just pressing it, it may print out a conformation receipt of the last ten faxes sent hope i have helped, if so rate me please
