DVD player won't open tray

K...I went away on holidays for a few day and when I came back, my wife and I were going to watch a movie. I went to turn on my DVD Player and the front panel display said "Bad Disk". I had not even turned it on yet. So I turned it on and pushed the open tray button and got nothing. I turned it off and on again and still got nothing. I can change the function to "AV" & "Stereo", but as soon as I put it on "DVD", it does nothing. The load up screen doesn't even show anymore. Can someone help me out here. Or atleast tell me what I might be looking at for repair charges. Thanks

SOURCE: My DVD playes only shows in black and white

Grab the manual and the remote, my guess here is you have accidentally changed regional setting, depending on where you live.

Some remote controls have a button, it's simply a matter of identifying the said button and pressing it again to change your regional setting back to it's original.

My dvd player on the tv doesn't work how can i fix this problem so that i can watch movies

The disc loading mechanism to your combo is faulty. To repair it, you have to disassemble the whole unit. It is a skilled work. Seek tech support.

When a disc is loaded, it reads "no disc".

Okay, so I had this problem a few days ago and started watching movies on my X-box 360. Then my X-Box came up with the same error as my DVD player. After reading countless reviews and e-mailing Samsung, I read somewhere that someone had pummeled their X-Box until it adjusted the laser back.

So, I pummeled my DVD and X-Box into oblivion and oddly enough both of them are working. Don't go crazy smacking it but give it some sturdy hits right above the CD tray as you are putting CD's in and opening the tray. Worked for me and hope it helps...

H02

This weekend we were watching a movie. It started to skip. I thought it was a dirty disk, took it out, cleaned it with a dry cloth and put it back. Now nothing will play.

When I insert a disk it starts to revolve the machine says reading, two zeros appear and the it stops. My wife noted a message H02 and the manual says to call for an explanation.

We tried turning the machine off and on and we tried pulling the plug -- no luck. What is the problem?? Jeff

My dvd Player started turning itself on and off all by its self.

don't bother fixing it, bring it back to store. You'll void any guarantees by tampering with it. Most likely the power button is damaged in some way. These are not repairable.
