I have cracked half of my ceramic stove top and am wondering if I can use the other half until I get it replaced? Also, I am wondering what the cost of replacing the ceramic cook top would be?

You can but its not a great idea. The heating and cooling of the surface burners will just crack it even worse. I wouldnt advise you to use it. But it can be used for very minimal cooking.

Unfortunately no your ceramic glass top cannot be repaired and will have to be replaced. as for the burners as long at the metal heating part of it isn`t damaged and its just the outer white coloured insulation that is cracked or chipped this is okay and still operate normally.hope this helps
When you dont replace the ceramic top that ios cracked could cause issues in your circuit board. The best thing t do is buy a new stove. The parts nad labor along is going to cost you about the same price as a new one.
HI You should be able to replace the top only. Normally if this is your fault, it is not covered by warranty. Normally this would be if you dropped something onto it. This would leave like a star shap series of cracks. If its down to manufacture, this should be covered under warranty. This damage normally looks like just one long crack, no impact mark. Check with the manufacturer
You can buy just the glass for your glasstop stove. I too need to replace my glass...I have a whilpool electric glasstop. Its not cheap...may just buy new stove. I priced just the glass for my whilpool at the cheapest I can find for $320.00. Thats a lot. Mind you its not the elements under the glass..its just the glass! So...idk bout you, but a whole new stove might be my best option. If you want to price the glass for your model just keyword search your number and brand of stove and type replacement glass. GOODLUCK! :)
I assume this stove is new enough to have electric ignition. Also assuming that the stovetop burners ignite with the usual Tic-Tic-Tic, the electric igniter in the oven is probably burned out. Most igniters are of a ceramic material, coated with a resistive/conductive coating so it will heat to a cherry red glow to ignite the gas. Being ceramic, it will work wonderfully until one day it develops a crack, and no longer conducts. A replacement igniter is probably the answer. A local appliance dealer should be willing to sell you the part.
