PNY flash drive will not eject

I am running Windows XP SP3 on a Lenovo T410 laptop. I use a PNY 8GB Attache USB 2.0 flash drive. I have no trouble using the drive but when I try to "safely remove" the device I get a Windows message saying that the drive is in use and can't be ejected. Even after I close all programs and windows I continue to get the same message. The only way I can remove the device is to shut down or restart.

Why only 3GB free on 8GB attache flash drive when everything has been deleted

What operating system are you using it on and what file system did you format the Flash drive with? If you are using an OS that has a file system lower than fat32 or if you formatted it with a file system lower than fat32 then that is why It shows less than 8GB total.

NEED DRIVER FOR PNY 8GB USB ATTACHE

If you're using the drive on a PC with Windows XP or Windows Vista, you don't need a driver - just plug it into the PC and Windows will recognize it and install USB drivers automatically.

Don't know how to use this.

Just put the PNY 8GB in USB port and wait for a minute to install the driver automatically. if you get msg "Your Hardware is Successfully installed" then go to the "My computer" >> It will shown as "Removable Drive" now you can use the device.
