I have a 46" RCA L46FHD37R flat panel TV that has a power-on light, but no picture or sound. I highly suspect the power supply, but have not found any specifications, troubleshooting faqs or schematics on the device. Can someone pleas direct me to a source?

Being able to read a schematic and understanding how a TV works are two different things. These chassis that RCA used in these sets can be somewhat complex to troubleshoot. I would geuess that unless the power light comes on at all then you have a dead power supply in the TV.

I reluctantly scheduled a technician to come out next week and take a look at my set. I was going to pay, at minimum, $65 for the service visit. I was then blessed with the intutition to do a bit more research regarding the PIP box being stuck on my television and other input functions (Inputs 1,2, and DVD) being unavailable.
I stumbled across a post on the internet that mentioned that the VS50603 can reset certain error conditions by pressing and holding the Input and Menu buttons (simulatneously) on the front panel on the TV while it is off. At some point after initiating this internal reset the LED light should starting flashing at defined intervals. The number of flashes correlate to a particular error code. Please go to the Mitsubishi website and download the owners manual (VS50609 in my case, couldn't locate VS50603) to lookup what the various error codes mean.
It seemed to me that that the LED flashing did not start immediately after pressing the Input and Menu buttons. In fact, I awoke the next morning to find the TV off but the LED flashing 10 times, pausing briefly, then flashing 10 times again. The sequence of the flashes mean something. Here again, consult your owner's guide for specifics.
Long story short, after awaking to find the LED flashing, I then turned the TV on and voila-my big screen was back minus that pesky PIP box prominently displayed.
I hope this helps someone like it helped me!! Truly a Blessing for sure.
