Posted on Apr 17, 2012

Chieftec Dragon I bought m/b Asus P8H67M LE and installed into this case. All is working fine, front panel with USB but I can't figure out how to connect front panel LED for on & HDD activity on this MB. I tried possible combinations but LED won't light up. Why? Is there some documentation which wire is for which purpose? Thanks.

SOURCE: Chieftech HPC-360-102 Power Supply dead

check the size of power supply most are a standard size some from propriety manufacturers are smaller. most are fitted top of case at the back and take up the space across the back about about
6inch wide 4 inch high 6inch deep if yours is this size its standard and most should fit get one that is rated at least 400 to 500 watts
ensure it has at least 6 4pin power sockets floppy power socket and the same motherboard sockets as your old one

ASUS CG5275 USB ports on back panel won't work

You might need the drivers, it's an odd case if they worked before.

Another possibility is the jumper header fell off the motherboard while you were moving it, this is most likely the case.

I hope this helps.

Plugigng of wire in board

Hello there,

Below is an image of *********** Board with number indication and wiring explanation. From your manual page 1-6 you can see the image below and 1-7 for the connector, jumpers, slots. as indicated in your problem I will only answer problems related to the wirings.

  • For the Front Panel

pcsyke_117.jpg
1. There are 8 wires from the front panel's casing, excluding USB connectors and front audio cable.

2. Just plug the front panel switch headers to the F_Panel main board connectors. 1 & 2 are positive, if the led do not light change polarity but Im sure it will.

Note:The mainboard provides a front panel connector for electrical connection to the front panel switches and LEDs. JFP1 is compliant with IntelĀ® Front Panel I/O Connectivity Design Guide.

  • For the USB connectors

pcsyke_118.jpg

1. If your casing has a USB header on the front bezel you can put it on any connector. You can also purchase a USB module cable or an internal card reader and plug the headers to any of those connectors.

Note: Observe Polarity, do this Vcc, -Data, +Data, Gnd ,(NC) ground is always near to NC.

Plug it at your own risk, reference image are already shown.

  • Front Panel Audio connectors

pcsyke_119.jpg
1. Look for FP_Audio header from your casing and plug it to the connector.

*Asus recommend you connect a high definition front panel audio module to this connector to avail of the motherboard's high-definition audio capability.

Hopefully this information helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

To me it sounds like you to not have the motherboard grounded to the case correctly.

I know this is not the same case you have but it is very important to ground the motherboard inside the case.

Hope this helps.

On a lighting tower i turn on 1 light and it draws 9amps when i turn on 2 they draw 30 amps and blow 15 amp fuse why ?

Why are you blowing a 15 amp fuse or why is your machine drawing so much current?
1:The fuse is blowing because you are drawing enough current to blow it.
2: Your computer, no matter what make or model should not be drawing that much current, your wall outlet is typically 15 amps.
Your power supply is most likely the culprit and may have damaged other components of your machine i.e the motherboard.
Disconnect the computer from the outlet, open it up and inspect it for burn marks, sniff for odd burnt smells.
I think you need a new power supply at the very least and maybe more.

Hi friend i think this is an issue related to software and this will be solved. This may happens when the computer is running on full load i.e ram capacity is low when compared to your computer OR your pc might have some errors use Registry booster program to solve this.
