I have a 32LD450 LG TV it will only show picture or music options from usb no movies??

you posted to computer help for TV? why not post to TV?
best , always is RTM read the manual no 2 TV work exactly the same. (nor did tell what you expect of that USB port?)
the post lacks the real and full Sinotec model number on that sticker on the rear, so getting the exact manual proves impossible.

the TV has multimedis player inside, this works for USB.
page 26 covers what movie FILE formats work.
format the usb stick as Fat32 is one safe first guess and try.
good luck with using USB. (the manuals on TV are very very limited on (what it needs to work right)on this TOPIC.

First of all find the manual for your tv.There are lots of tv which are cable only to show and play pictures and music and will not be able to play movie files. may be the tv you have cames in the same category. Also you have to check the format of the movies in the usb. Also check in the manual that if your tv is able to play movies from usb, then what should be the format. Here i have added a link where you will be able to find the manual of almost all the tvs. as you didnt mentioned any thing about the brand and model number of your tv its not possible to add the exact ling to the manual.

Nope, you certainly can't. The TV can only show still photos or play music. It's not capable of playing videos.

Where are the pictures coming from?

Off-air, cable, DVD, VTR, computer, etc?

maybe you did not properly select the right application in your tv... example if you play movies go to movies menu and if thats music go to music menu and also for pictures go to picture menu......or the format of you data is not supported of you TV..

That's not possible as the TV would need software to decode and play the video. That model of LG TV isn't listed as being a "smart" tv that can play video files. You may have to look into a separate box that can play movie files like a Roku or an AppleTV

That is because the USB port is for servicing only and not for Video and audio.

Do you mean free over the air HD?? If so hook up a UHF antenna to the ATSC connection on your tv and you will be able to receive all over the air broadcast HD tv signals in your area for free.

You need to activate it first, here are the steps:

1. Press the enter(OK) both on the remote and the TV at the same time...hold for about 5 seconds
2. Password - 0000
3. Go to tool option 3
4. Change Jpeg to 1
5. Change Divx to SD or HD
6. Exit and try it out.
You will notice that now there are 8 inputs in the option list instead of 6 - Including a USB input.
