Camera just wont turn on...help please

Hello i own a casio exilim s600, and it literally just wont turn on. it was working fine a week or two ago, and today it wont work at all. it wont charge the battery when i put it in the charger...but once i plug in the usb cabels to the computer and such, it'll recognize the pictures on the memory card and i can view all the pictures on the camera in picture viewer mode. however once i take it out of the adapter, it'll just blank and i wont be able to see a thing. when i put the camera in the charger and try to have it charge, a green light blinks for a second on the camera and it stops...and nothing charges. i've tried charing the battery on a different charger, but still no success. any suggestions? it won't turn on to take pictures or anything. i've had this camera since june.

I opened up mine today and found out that all you needed to do was put the plastic gear back into place and it's A ok. Open up the camera and when you're facing the front, check the little plastic compartment on the top right to see if the gears are in place. I fixed it and everything is A ok now. :)

Casio Exilim EX-S600 Digital Camera will not turn on... i changed the battery... and nothing happens

Hello

Thank you for using FixYa for your problem

Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty.
It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Anything is fixable but it is more "is it cost effective"

Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you

Sounds like a lens error. Try taking battery out and putting back in. If it still wont go in then u r going to have to send it into casio to have it fixed.

Please help

It should still be under warranty, sounds like the rechargeable battery has died, either take it back to the shop or buy a new battery.
