Most small motors are 12 volt, but they do vary. If your transformer melted down, There is a good chance something else caused it, So just replacing the transformer would not be worth it. A lot of printers, copiers etc, have transformers in them that would work, motors too for that matter, but electric typewriters are fairly cheap now days.

There is power going to the condenser, but it won't turn on

Hi, if you have high voltage going to the unit and it will not fire up, then you are not getting control voltage to it. It takes 2 power sources to run it, high voltage for all of the motors and compressor, but 24 volts from your thermostat to fire it up.I dont know if you have a gas furnace, heat-pump or what. If its a gas split, you will have only 2 small thermostat wires coming into the contactor coil to fire it and close it to send power to all else. You may have a bad stat, broken stat wire, or a faulty transformer, but you have lost your 24 volts somewhere in the unit, and the 1st place to check would be the stat. Please keep me posted.

MY RCA 27" WILL NOT TURN ON, HAVE POWER TO THE FUSE, THE FUSE IS GOOD ALSO BUT THE DEGAUSS RELAY DOES NOT CLICK AND NO OTHER CLICKS ARE HEARD EITHER, WHAT COULD BE WRONG?

you need to check the voltage output of your power supply section. This power supply supply is a switching type power supply.there is a chopper transformer in there.its supply is a dc voltage unlike any other transformer which is AC supplied on the primary..First step.
1.Using a multitester measure the primary supply it is a DC voltage around 220v - 110 VDC
2.Measure the secondary output. The out put is AC voltage the supply for the B+ going to plyback is 115vdc the second output is 12v run through a regulator and the regulator lower the voltage to 5vdc.this 5vdc supplies the system IC and the jungle IC.this ic process the switching of the plyback transformer and the plyback transformers output supplies the voltage of the whole system including your relay in the degaussing section....once the plyback is activated the tv will now turn on...

good luck!Hope i helped you..

please rate my help..god bless!

1.Dead on switch but red power LED comes on. Previous to this intermittent fault with flyback lines then red screen then white screen and loss of sound.

Flyback transformer is very likely bad. Also the most common in these sets as well. The transformer provides and regulates the power. There should be a label on your set that has the DC voltage output rating. You can use a voltmeter and measure the rating your flyback is putting out and see if they are the same.

I PLUG IT TO POWER SUPPLY AND THE LIGHTS DONT TURN ON

test power supply with electric tester for voltage on transformer and if close to what transformer states such as 13.5 volts, then the power port on PC has broken and needs to be fixed, or get separate battery charger and charge batteries and use them to run

I need to change the transformer inside the power supply. can you tell the the output voltage?

You need a meter to test the voltage else check the manual or normally it is written on the transformer about power, voltage and current.Hope this helps.

My tecnics Amplifier Model # su-v98 has no power. I've checked all cords

Try these test, the only common possibilty would be the transformer and the power supply if both channels are out.You better to check both the positive and negative voltages from the power supply to see if both are present or if one or both are missing. This would be dc voltages of approx.20 to 40 volts. The positive voltage must be equal to the negative voltage, with the exception of their polarity. If one higher than the other, the regulator in power supply is busted already. The transformer can be checked for AC voltage before the power supply. This reciever uses a single power supply so the problem would be,common to both channels. You better change the regulator and checked some capacitor near the regulator.

Power supply (transformer)

You should have just one supply voltage on an AM type dishwasher. Find the data plate in one of these places - frame behind RH door, on the control box, under the front cover. The required voltage and phase (1 or 3) will be listed there.

What is the problem with the unit?
