Tone calibration I am looking for the manual for the Panasonic Ag Hvx P2, especially the sound part. I am wondering where to find the menu for calibrating tone from a mixer and set it to -20 dB. And where to find the selections for each channel e.g. gain on/off, wind on/off, and where to chose the channels to record separate and not stereo (I mean two of the same channel) And if there is a status check button? And, do I do this in a menu similar to some sony cameras?

Hello!
Since you own Macpro you need to connect a duel adapter for pcmcia cards and since Macpro has already drivers for P2 ,the rest is easy, just connect and follow the procedure.
PS
You can also download through firewire and usb port.
Make sure you turn your other settings in the menu while in camera mode to ext, both or chain. Ext. mode, means pushing record on the camera makes the hard drive record, but not to tape, Both means that both tape and hard drive will record, Chain means when you run out of recording onto tape, the hard drive will automatically start recording as the tape runs out.
Section 5 (electrical adjustments) of the service manual covers the settings of DIP switch S-4. It is used to calibrate the supply and takeup photo sensors.
This is a known problem with this model of camera. We have two and have the same problem with both. Call up Panasonic and they will give you info on sending it in.
