Low level light

I refilled my Pixma MP15o's color cartridge because the amber low level warning light came on. The printer works fine, but the amber light is still on, and of course the information screen shows a low ink warning as well. Is there any way to work the printer or the cartridge and get the light to go off?

I use 3rd party ink and why my color ink light up at my printer pixma mp 287

This will either be because your printer is having trouble recognising the cartridges or warning of low ink because the cartridges have been refilled. Connect a computer to the printer and it will hopefully give you more info.

If your printer cannot recognise the cartridges try wiping the contacts on the front of the cartridges and re-installing. If your printer still doesn't recognise the ink cartridges then sadly they will need replacing.

If it is just a low ink warning then carry on printing untill the printer thinks the cartridges are empty and prevents you from printing. You can them get around this message by pressing the stop/reset/resume button for 5 seconds and continue printing. More information on this can be found here: http://www.refreshcartridges.co.uk/igloo/the-infamous-canon-resumestopreset-button/

Hope this helps.

How to override lexmark s415 low ink

There's no way to override the low ink warning. If one of the cartridges is out of ink, you won't be able to continue printing.

Refilled cartridges will not report or reset the ink levels.

Bland and color cartridges have been refilled but

Ink level counter (program) didn't read actually ink at ink tank. Brand new cartridge ink level counter 100% (full), and ink 100% (about 10 ml). After may printing, ink will dry out, and ink level counter reach zero (ink out). Printer will not allow print anymore, even have refilled, because ink level read "ink out". For canon type, you just to release ink level counter, and counter just stop, but printer will allow to print. Press stop/reset button for about 30 second.

I refilled the ink with a refill kit

You can't reset the ink level on all Canon Pixma printers. You need to turn off the function on printer to show the ink level. On your printer this happen with push consistently buttons for black copy (for turn of level on black cartridge) and color copy (for turn of level in color cartridge). The printer
shows empty cartridges but it will printing.

MP160 ink level won't reset

The only _bypass_ is to ignore the warnings/lamps, and keep using your printer until it runs out of ink.

The only _solution_ is to purchase "original" cartridges, i.e., do not use "refilled" cartridges.

Low warning annoying me

Dell's proprietary grip on its printers causes this message to appear with any non-Dell or refilled cartridge. The messages/ink filled levels will only be reset if you buy a new Dell ink cartridge or have a way to update their encoding strip.

The good news is that you can still use refilled cartridges just minimize the level warnings to the task bar and ignore them when they come up. Everything should still print fine.
