Question about RCA P52930BL 52" Rear Projection Television

P52930bl RCA Projection 52" Remote problem

The remote stoped working today and i tried reseting the rca remote i had and i had no luck getting it to work. Thinking that the remote was broken i went and bought a new universal remote. (identical to the origanal i had) And i can't get this to work either. I think that there may be a problem with the Tv's reciever, but i don't ever know were the receiver is on this tv. If anyone knows about this, i would greatly apprecate any input.

First thing you want to do with this set would be to unplug it for at least a 24 hour period. if that does not work, the remote sebsor could be defective. if you want to just replace the sensor and not trouble shoot the set, it should be located behind a plasit cover in the front of the set, or located inside the reflection area of the TV set. Differant models are located at differant positions. If you have no electronic experience, play it safe and call in a trained tech to assist you in this repair. Good Luck Please do not forget to rate this thread.

My TV turns itself off and on by itself.

You have a timer that has been accidently set by someone by the remote control.
If you have an instruction amnual for the tv, it will tell you how to turn off the tv's timer.
