u can get a remote on ebay or amazon an dthe reason for no sound is usually the hdmi cable or resetting the receiver not having sound is a common issue with satelite

We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Network remote to control your RCA TV. We're going to start by pressing and holding the TV button located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights come on, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your RCA TV here are some of the codes we currently have: 503, 627, 633, 725, and 505. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try several different functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV. Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, try the other codes listed for your RCA TV until you find one that is compatible with it.

Is the satellite receiver HD or standard?
If it is standard you should hook up the box to the tv via RCA cables (Yellow/Red/White) and this will help with the picture quality.

If it is a HD receiver then hook up the box to the tv using a component video cable and this will drastically change the quality of the picture.

Using a coax cable to attach from the box to the tv essentially is connecting an analog signal to the tv and this will produce a lower quality picture...

I would use the s-video out & red & white rca audio out on dish box to s- video & audio in on the t.v., then audio out from t.v.(RCA, red & white) to one of the inputs (RCA) on the receiver.

check sat in cable, if cracks or breaks in line can cause sfss. also on back of receiver you want to make sure that sat in cable has a little copper wire sticking straight up and that its getting a good connection on the back of the receiver.

If it works on DVD but not on your Dish, and when you connected it to another house it had the same problem then it sounds like your input connection is bad on the TV. That is if I am understanding this right. From what I am reading your Dish network is not showing a picture but the audio is working fine. The DVD player works fine on the TV though. Then you took the TV and hooked it to another dish system and it was the same problem. That sounds to me like you TV is having a problem, either that or the cables for your Dish network are bad. Try switching to a different input, like the one the DVD player is on and seeing if it works there. If not, then the cables are bad and you just need to replace the cables. If it does work though where the DVD was working before then your TV input is bad on that port you were hooked to before.

The RCA guide will not work with the dish remote. You can get the guide to close if you press the White TV button then press cancel. Remember to press the SAT button after you close the guide.

if you recently got dishnetwork call the company that installed the system for a repair person, they HAVE to fix it. if you put it in yourself it sounds like the lnb is bad or the dishnetwork splitter is bad or not hooked up right. this kind of problem is a reminder that paying an extra $5 a month for service warranty is a good deal. if something is wrong with anything then, a phone call to dishnetwork will get new equipment sent to you or a service tech sent to fix it. i don't presently work for dish or direct or a cable co but i know that's how things work.

In regards to the Sony KV32XBR450 without picture but sound, mine just had this problem occur yesterday. After doing a quick troubleshooting check, I have found that the problem is most likely a bad tuner, as when I directly connected a video source to the RF (Cable Coax) connector, I wasn't able to get a picture, etc.

I was able to "by-pass" this issue for now, while I wait for the replacement part (special order via Sony Authorized Repair Service Ctr), by using the S-video output from my Dish Network and plugging that into the S-Vedio input on the back of the TV, (you might also have S-video output on your local cable box too). Now I've got a really nice picture, but without sound, so all you need to do is utilize either your Audio outputs from your Satelite Box or Cable Box and connect them to your Audio inputs under the S-Video cable and you'll have picture and sound. If you have a DVD/VCR, etc. with audio feed-thru connections, you can also accomplish this with your standard hook-ups to that device, just select it for the sound while you use video 3 (or 4) where you connected the S-Video cable.

This will let you contact your local repair/service center and see if they can get the parts needed to make the repair. I figure that the parts will run between $40-$120, plus a $50 diagnostic fee (usually applied towards your repair bill), plus the labor charge. If I was having the repair done by the shop, I'd expect to pay around $200-$250 +/-. Not bad for a HD Flat panel TV when you consider that a new Flat panel with 1/2 the resolution (720p) will cost you $450 +/-
and a 1080i is more than double that. Remember that the Sony KV32XBR450 is HD 1080i and 720p in one unit. Hope this helps.
