Could be 2 things:
Either the 3rd digit of the number wheel is sticking or the solenoid for the 3rd digit is dirty, stuck or bad.
You can take the cover for the paper and see if the wheels are turning. Enter all 8888888888's and keep hitting +, this will make all of the wheels turn. If the 3rd digit isnt moving, then you can try to take a very small drop of light weight machine oil on a small flat tip screwdriver, and place a drop on both sides of the wheel that is sticking.
Enter all 8888888888's again, and keep hitting the + and see if it gets any better or starts to move.
If the wheel doesnt turn at all, then the solenoid might be stuck and it will be a lot harder to reach to service it.

Print cartridge(s) missing or not detected

Many HP printers will detect third party and re-filled ink cartridges and refuse to accept them. There is no way to override this in the software package.

I had a third party re-man ink cartridge work for two days and then the HP decided it didn't like it.

Print head is not printing seems to be clogged from non-use. Have tried test printing through several new cartridges and still not working. Can the old - dryed ink be cleaned off of the print heads?

Hi, below is from the brother website for your model. Very common for the ink heads to become clogged /dry out. You probably have done this but here it is anyway. your print head is part of the machine, so it will need to be disassembled to clean it, That can be very difficult. Try the following anyway, it might help you. also, you could try using a Q-Tip wet with vinegar water to get under to the bottom of the print heads, if you can get the head to move off its dock and then unplug it when its moved over. anyway here is the Brother link info (without pictures-see the link above if you need the pictures)

New printer won't print multiple pages.just 1 of 1

Change the driver setting, in the driver there is language the machine use it in order to communicate with the pc. check if you are using GDI or PCL or other driver language, change this setting to PCL or try to switch to other ones, and make printing test.
you can do this from the machine too.
if none of those works uninstall then install back trhe real driver.
Good luck

I have a finepix s700 and want to print with date and time. help!

The S700 doesn't have a date print function (so that the date appears on the image). Are you printing yourself, or having a lab print the photos for you? Some inkjet (home) printers can print the date on the image or on the border. Many labs (my Fuji Frontier digital lab, for instance) can print the date on the print for you, as the data is contained in the file data. Ask at the lab counter. They also shouldn't charge for this service, as it's a one-button operation.
