My notebook model is acer aspire 4315 and i have upgraded my lappy to window 7..i have installed webcam driver that possible to my lappy but it still doesnt work..what should i do?n what kind of webcam...

Hi,

First of all, is your webcam built-in or not?

If it's built-in, your webcam driver shall depend on the model of your laptop. But since you mentioned that you upgraded your OS to Win7, you should find a driver that is compatible both with the brand of your laptop AND Win7.

If you're using an external webcam, it usually comes with a driver when you bought it. But it's possible that the driver is not compatible with Win7 also. So again, you should find a driver that is compatible with Win7.

You can always return to your old OS if you cannot find those drivers.

Hope it hepls!

Thanks!

My laptop cnt turn on

1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced.
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad.
6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced.

I have a laptop running 802,11 g/b and vista and I Cant connect to linksys wag160n wireless router(802,11 n). laptop sometimes recognises network but when I try to connect it wont. could you help ?

Hi, You cannot connect across wireless protocols. In other words to connect to 802.11 n you need an "n" adapter.

Now, the router should be backward compatible & provide wireless g/b but you may find that when you search for networks it will be listed as a seperate network name (from the same router)

Try searching for this other network. Your router documentation should advise you of its default name & any set up process

Wireless radio disabled

If you have a laptop and it has built in wireless adapter, it may have a switch or a button that you need to switch on in to turn on the wireless connection radio. Usually, it can be found on the sides or on the front panel of the laptop. On other laptops, you will need to hit some combination of keys on the laptop's keyboard to turn on the wireless connection radio, for example, Fn+F5. Please refer to the manual of your laptop for reference on how to turn on or enable its wireless radio.

By the way, what is the model of your laptop?

Need a wireless router for my talk talk broadband

You could use any brand wireless router with your broadband service for a wifi signal for your laptop or any wireless internet to any device that is compatible for it. You first need to make sure your laptop has built in wireless or if it needs an adapter(ex. Wireless notebook adapter, USB Adapter). and if its built in then all you would need to buy is a wireless router(Linksys has a really nice and user friendly setup. Model:WRT54G).

Laptop

Hello,

As long as your wireless equipment broadcast its info automatically, any laptop that has built in wireless b/g should be fine.

Just make sure that you check the specifications on the laptop that you choose to buy and make sure that it has the built in wireless.

Thanks
