I have a used premier nuova simonelli with 2 groups and after I make 3or 4 drinks the pump is unable to pump water in. I can hear it trying but the machine wont let the water in. It only works again after I turn it off for 20 minutes and when it cools off I can turn it on and it works perfecty for 3 or 4 more drinks. Any ideas on what is wrong?
The pumps in these are low resolution pumps and don't seem to take a lot of stress. We ran the same machine with three groups 362 days a year. You probably need to replace the pump. You should watch your gauges and be pulling 9 - 10 bars when pulling a shot. The top side of your gauges is water pressure coming in. Sounds like a new pump. Good luck.

Is it constantly filling even the machine not in use, or just when your brewing, the pump keeps on running? If it is constantly filling that means you filling solenoid valve are mechanically open already. if only when brewing, check you water level sensors.
It sounds like the thermostat on the boiler nest to the element tripped. Fill machine with water until you can see the level about half way, then open the right side of the espresso machine, you might be able to get to thermostat from the top of machine (make sure it is unplugged) then press the red pin on the boiler between the 2 wires, that should reset the thermostat, if it does not then it will need to be replaced. As for the water on the top of the group head, is there any way you can post a pic of the top, because simonelli made a few different head and I want to give you the correct advise.
