Regarding computer not recognizing your player .Go to Control Panel and select 'Performance an Maintenance'. Then Select 'System'. Then select the 'Hardware Tab' and select 'Device Manager'. Then find a device called 'Portable Devices' or 'Windows Portable Device'. Then select the + sign next to the device and right click the 'Audio Player'.

Select 'Uninstall'. Click 'OK' when it asks you if it is OK to uninstall. Then select 'Action' at the top of the Window and select 'Scan for hardware changes'. Then once it re-installs the driver, see it operates correctly.

This make your computer recognize the PD-6070.

Hi,

the best solution to this problem is to install the software directly from the mymusix site. then when prompted connect the drive.

I noticed that alot of people have this problem and the answer was to get the software at mymusix.com and reinstall

thank you , please don't forget to rate.

If you can not thru your computer, try with Windows Media Player
Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.

There are two ways to format an Mp3 player - one on the computer itself, and one in Windows Media Player. Both methods will end up erasing all the songs on the player, but the player will be "good as new" after that. Sometimes reformatting in this manner will override the player's native formatting and cause problems - this can be reversed in most cases by updating the player's firmware. Firmware upgrades are available from most manufacturers' websites.

WARNING: The following procedures will erase all songs on the player.

Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.
You can also format the player in Windows Media Player itself:
Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.

you may need to reformat it according to the computer you are using. If you, just select the drive in my computer(where your hard drive/cdrom/all that **** is) hit format, at the top there will be a drop down menu, click fat16 from there, then select quick format...should fix everything

Reformat internal media as FAT16

Go to the Mymusix website and download the player update utility (located here: http://mymusix.mmvoice.com/products/audio/PD-6070/software.html )
install it, then use these instructions http://mymusix.mmvoice.com/products/audio/PD-6070/PD6070Vistaonlyfaq.html Starting at step 9.

I never got it to actually complete the update process, but it did format it, which solved the problem.

Here's how you do it on a Windows-based OS:
Connect mp3 player to computer
Double-click My Computer
Right-click the icon of the mp3 player
Select Format
When it gives you a choice between FAT and FAT32, choose FAT
