I agree with Lukster, 9 times out of 10 it's the plasma panel.

Sounds like a panel defect or a loose ribbon cable, but more than likely it's the panel itself

Was playing with the Playstation 3, when the kid unpluged it Vizo lost its color-turn on the cable (Charter) and it only shows 3 colors Pink Green and blue

If you are using the box for signal to the set unplug it for a while and then plug back in to let it reboot--may or may not solve the problem but easy and worth trying. Do the same with the TV if you want.

Most likelly it is your DVR that has a problem. Their are a lot of issues with those DVR's from the cable or satellite companies. I would recomend swapping it out.

I have connected my Charter HDTV settop box to the strdh700 in the 'sat in' hdmi connection, then connected the 'out' hdmi to my sony bravia tv and the signal isn't getting there. any suggestions?

If you're not getting the audio signal, please select the Audio for HDMI to TV+AMP in Menu display. If you're not getting the videos, please check if the TV is HD ready and supports 1080p signals. Also check if the connections are firm and secure and you selected the correct input on both Receiver and TV. Please try connect the Settop box to different HDMI port of the receiver and try. You can also try connecting the Set top box to tv directly and check if its working. If its working fine directly with the TV, you may try to replace the cable and try else the receiver may require service

Bought a proscanlcd hdtv 32lb30Q unable to get cable signal

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, pls confirm if below is how it is wired using a coaxial cable and not 3cable RCA to RCA:
  • Charter Digital Cable > DVD/VCR > TV
If yes and your concern is snowy or no signal on the TV screen, might it be that you have to power OFF the DVD/VCR when selecting channels on the TV itself (including when channel setup is being done).

Alternately, you can tune the TV to channel 3 and let the DVD/VCR do the channel selections.

Pls post back results. Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

What do I need to get for viewing HDTV

The TV you have will only process an HD via the component video connections. Your cable box needs to have component outputs and you will need to buy a component video cable to connect from the cable box component video outputs to the TV's component video inputs (should be 2 sets, #1 for up to 720p and #2 for up to 1080i...
