Problems with Dell All-in-One 924 InkJet Printer

Im not really a computer person, but i know something is very wrong with my printer! i put paper in the machine and it starts printing, but for some reason only one side of the paper is beinng fed into the printer so it ends up going in crooked. the printer continues as though its printing, but the paper wont move down any fruther after it gets to a certain point. when i take the paper out, you can see it didnt go through far enough to get any words on it.. just some in spots occasionally on the corner that actually moved through. ive tried twenty different times and even have tried to make the printer reallign itself but nothing works! please help me?

Try cleaning the rubber roller on the paper pick up with a damp cloth, or rubber roller cleaner.

My Star TSP600 Thermal Printer is displaying a flashing Error light. Power light on, new roll of paper loaded correctly, self-test was ineffective - nothing printed. What's my next step?

i know you stated you put the paper in correctlyin the printer but if the thermal reactive side of the paper is not facing the print head the thermal paper won't print on the wrong side of the paper. it will load into the printer and seem ok but the heat on the wrong side of the paper will not react and show any writing. Can you try turning the paper over in the printer feed holder so the other side of the paper faces the print head and give it another test .

When printing, instead of a picture, 70 or so pages of numbers and letters come out

Hello probsy,
I know what your problem is. But it's a matter of me properly conveying the information. Bottom line is that you you either have a corrupt print driver or the wrong print driver. A print driver is the program that is loaded on your computer (or your server if you have one) that enables your computer to communicate with/and submit data TO the printer. If the "driver" is corrupt or wrong, then the printer "MAY" still understand that it needs to print something.......but then you get the **** you are talking about. I have seen printers absolutley run the paper out of every tray printing squiggles and numbers and then ask for more paper !! So for example you have a Ricoh printer but you are using the print driver for a Xerox printer. The printer MAY recognize the command to "PRINT", but what it prints will be.....who knows? At this point I have answered your question. I would go further but you will need to remove the printer from your pc and reload and install the CORRECT/CLEAN driver. I am sorry I can't be your IT person. If I gave you further instructions I may do more harm than good. Show this post to anyone you trust with your computer and they will get it, and can be there "near you and live" and you will be fine. Take care. :-) SPINAL

Im trying to print something off my computer but my printer says i have to open the ''paper out tray'' before it can print. the problem is i don't know where that is.

Depends on the type of your printer. Printed material need to be ejected. If your 'paper out' is not open you need to open it. Check where the paper goes in, first. Then, somewhere infront of that must me the outlet. Good luck.

Printer will not print off computer

Have you checked to make sure it's plugged in right? Also check your printer settings. I have the same problem sometimes, and I just mess around with those things and it works.

How do you change the paper selection?!?

if you have a different size/type paper in trays, just choose auto tray from printing preference, you only have to put right paper type /plain/thick ..... and the printer find it self the right tray

Copystar 1635 copier/printer set up problem

What the problem sounds like is that the machine and print driver are set to diifferent paper types.
One says plain paper and the other bond paper.
Or something like that, the machine says bond and the printer plain paper.
Chech the size setting and paper orinentation.
Most of the time the paper type is wrong. Also check paper color etc etc. Something between the machine and driver is mismtached.
