Question about Sony VAIO FX140 Notebook

Not problem, but memory related

Just a FYI for anyone upgrading their memory in Sony VAIO FX140 PC, I have found that Kingston 256MB PC133 SODIMM CL3 run very well in my laptop and yet to have any problems, figured I would give it a try since it was half the price of the PC100 DIMM.

How to upgrade memory what is the best memory for my laptop toshiba satelite 1800

Hi,

Samsung original 256mb sdram PC133 144in sodimm 8chip 16x16 configuration. . Compatible memory for Satellite 1800-S253

That machine will on take a maximum of 512mb, so you could get 2 256mb to max out the memory. Samsung is the best for that machine, and they run around $20.00 per 256mb.

Thanks Mark

Put the "old" RAM back into the computer, to see if the PC will work at all, or if you damaged the motherboard when you were changing the RAM, or if you accidentally disconnected some cables or jumper-blocks.
