My daughter just bought a used explorer with an AVE(?) dvd-6cd console player. She loaded 2 cd discs into the dvd slot before realizing she goofed. The discs are now jammed inside & won't eject. I tried power off, then hold down eject, tried the reset button then tried tweezers but couldn't get a good grip on them. Would appreciate any easy fix's available. Thanks

There is a roller arm in this unit that consists of Rubber roller Roller shaft and plastic Holder this part probably needs replacing due to dust that gets on roller and rollershaft being very slippery causing poor grip between rollershaft and roller. I am a technician and have had to replace this part many times. Cleaning rollers can sometimes help. This mechanism is very tricky do not recommend doing it yourself . Kenwood kvt 715dvd wont turn on

check all your fuses. check power for the battery(yellow) wire and red wire(ignition- key must be on), and if all of those are good then check the fuse on the back of the stereo itself, i think it has a 15amp mini fuse in it.

Kenwood kvt 715dvd

I have seen problems in the hideaway (brain) where 8v reg circuit fails causing higher voltage(12v to 14v) to be on that 8v line. First component to fail is the Tuner followed by electronic volume ic. I have probably seen 6-8 failures where tuner fails. Fix is to replace tuner and replace open chip resistor in Hideaway box to restore 8v regulator to proper voltage. [email protected]

Eject problem,bright screen

I had the same problem. I suffest you don't manually pull it out if you haven't already because now I can't get disc to load. I say try up dvd and or cd pushing eject on the screen or use the remote, the button should work. As for bright screen go under the settings and lover brightness.
