Camcorder screen displays EMG:TUP

My BUSH VCC 200 displays the above message after being used for a couple of minutes. The manual says when this happens you should not use and consult service centre.I only paid about£20 for it on ebay and am reluctant to spend a lot although it has been a good buy until this happened. Is there any way of fixing it or should i just abandon it.|Many thanks

Good price but can not use, do you have any idea, how old this camcorder is? this is my experience.

I bought 3 Sony camcorders at different times, I have used not more than 20 times for each one, and my brother bought another kind of camcorder did the same, but after 3-4 years, automatically quit one by one, even my brother’s camcorder quit within 4 years, this is what I think, the big companies like Sony, Jvc etc., won’t let you use the same unit for a long time, from our case, made us thought, they probably put a timer to control the age of the camcorders. Maybe we have to know how to adjust or change the timer chap or it will cost you some money to fix it.

I am still research about this case. And also I have a lot of documents which I can not transfer.

Hello

Thank you for using
FixYa for your problem

Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty. It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you

Blank screen

Resetting your camera will not help ( I see this problem every day and in my experience it cannot be cured by resetting your camera ). It looks like a faulty CCD sensor and it will have to be replaced. It will cost +- $ 200 to have a new CCD block put in but get a quote first.

Camcorder not working says 'c-emg' on screen

That error code is telling you hey i've got a mechanical problem because when the microprocessor tells me to move the mode switch is suppose to send signals back to the processor to let the mechanism know where its at and in this case the processors not getting the right codes or signals so it wont let you use it, and thats why it will eject if a tape is inserted. Now unless you have all the special tools ,jigs and adaptors to repair this including a service and a mechanism manual you really should take this unit in as there are really no serviceable parts inside for the consumer to replace. Sorry i couldnet be more helpfull. Good Luck

Mechanical problem "C.EMG" from my SC-A30 camcorder

for all those who try to fix a samsung camcoder with a mechanical problem in which the message on the display is "C.EMG", thie is the solution : the problem is caused by the socket through which the axle of the cabestan motor passes through. the socket is fitted in the aluminium case of the motor. as it is known, aluminium suffers a process of seasoning/ageing and the bronze socket is no longer fitted in its original position. The socket moves towards the exterior and the cabestan, which consists of a magnet,  gets near the 6 coils of the motor, starting a retardation effect. This problem can be solved by fitting the bronze socket with a small quantity of superglue or poxipol
