Blank screen i was taking photo and i think the battery went off and the lense could not go back inside, it took like two days for me to replace the battery. When i put a new battery, later the screen went back inside but caanot open. the screen still black. when i press the on button, it shows the power on the auto only and cannot show any picture. what could be the problem? thanks

I asked a friend to take pictures. I don't know if she changed the settings somehow or what, but when she gave it back to me, there were no pictures - and the screen always shows blank. Earlier pictures can still be accessed, but it won't take any more pictures. I have cleaned off and re-formatted the memory card, reset to default settings, inserted a new (used, but usable) memory card - nothing, just blank screen. HELP!
