DVD player will not play any DvD'a but will play music CD's

Ok last year we got our Daughter a Disney princess t.v. and the disney princess DVD player for christmas. All was working well with it untill one day my husband wentto put a movie on for her cause we did not want to pay the price we did for the stuff just to have her break it. So we put th et. and the dvd up where sh ecould not reach it. Any ways the dumb dvd player will not play dvd's it will however play cd's any cd one that is store boughten an dones that are copies. but no movie. Why could that be and how could we fix it?

Disney princess dvd player will not play any dvd!

We had the same issue. Try clicking <play>1234<play> and it should unlockk the dvd in the machine. Seems to work on my daughters. It's a parental control of come sort. HTH.

try cleaning the laser with a q-tip if the laser is dirty from finger prints or dust it won't be able to read the disc therefore won't play. Clean laser and if that doesn't work then the child may have damaged the player in a fashion that would be better to get him/her a new one.

when we first got ours i put a dvd in and it wouldnt play either then i noticed you have to push the input buttons until it is on dvd mode every time you play a dvd

11/12/08 My 18 yo daughter took her Disney "Ramon" dvd player she received at Christmas yo college with her and I used the code a moment ago <play> 1234 <play> and it unlocked it for her immediately.... try it it might work for you as well! Good Luck!

Disney dvd player wont play movies (dvd) but plays music (cd) fine

Might be the type of movie - some of them are only able to play "G" ratings. Try this: click <play> 1234 <play> It will likely unlock the dvd that is in and will begin to play. You will have to do the 'code' each time, or there's an unlock program you can purchase.

Disney dvd player parental control code

I'm sure you've found the solution by now, but I'm going to post a response for people in the future with the same problem. The unlock code for dvd's is found on page 25 in my users guide. I dont know if the code is different for every t.v. but mine is 1369. Hope this helps. Also I thought it was kinda funny because the same exact thing happened to my daughter with the same Barbie Island Princess movie the day after Christmas!
