I am trying to get our B/W Multifunction Print/Scan/Copy appliance to scan documents and save them 1 page at a time (to create individual PDF files out of a stack of receipts, instead of one long multi-page PDF). Is there any way to do this? Its an assignment from my boss, but I cant find anything that will solve this problem from the menus on the machine.

Re: Ricoh Aficio 2090 Printing config question
You have to scan each one individually. The machine can scan them into a pdf file. Press user tools button. Press the scanner button and check the file format settings for individual files. Select PDF if needed.

If the printer came with operating software you should use it to scan the document. Even without the manufacturer software (but not the drivers) you can use Acrobat or Word Perfect or LibreOffice to scan to the application then save the scanned file either as pdf, image format, or as text (OCR). There are some free scanning software available on the Internet: freeOcr, pdfViewer, Paperscan Free edition They are usually able to send the file to an application or save in a specific format. If they are not able to scan a multipage document you will have to scan one page at a time then assemble the pages
You need to install a PDF printer driver on your computerfirst. There are quite a few freeware PDF writer programs on the Internet youcan download one such as CutePDF. From the computer scan your document then click on File - Print and select the PDF writer as theprinter device. Then name and save the PDF file.

The 1027 can be equipped as a scanner, but there is a special module the copier needs to have installed. A quick way to check if it's been installed is to look at the function keys to the left of the touch screen. There should be a key for Copy, and maybe one for Document Server as well. If you see keys for Printer and Scanner, then you have the ability to scan and you just need to configure the settings. Otherwise, you'll have to purchase the print/scan kit in order to be able to scan.
In order to connect it to a network, you need to have the print/scan option installed. If your copier has the print/scan option, you can hook it up with an Ethernet cable and download the print driver from the Ricoh website:
the aficio 2045 is new version of the aficio 450. so on the 2045 if you have installed printer/scanner option you can scan directly to folder on your computer or you can scan and sent documents to email addresses ,also the print or copy is much more quality. you have a touch screen control panel. mainly the look is the same with some new design on the look, but also some staff which has bean detected as problem on the aficio 350 now are corrected and improved.
Does your machine have a document feeder on it? If so, turn off and unplug the machine from the wall, and check in back of the machine to see if the feeder is plugged into the unit properly. Try reseating the document feeder plug to ensure good contact. Plug the machine back into the wall and turn it on. If it detects the document feeder, fax and scan functions should be restored.
