Jwin JD-VD502 DVD Player Logo

JWIN JD-VD502 I am having the "DVD playing in black and white" problem. I do not have a "switch" on the back of my DVD player. I just hooked it up for the 1st time and I have a HD Flat screen plasma. Is there something else I could have done wrong? And if there really is a switch, I think they forgot to put it on my DVD player. Can you give a little more info as to the exact location? Thanx!

Sounds like a PAL/ NTSC problem which you must fix on either your TV input or DVD player output or settings. This should fix the problem if you alter the settings.

I had a problem like this before. My movies were playing in B/W. I found one of the pins on the S-Video cable was broken.I replaced the cable all was good.

Go into 'menu' then 'setup' then 'line'. It should say you are set up for 'S Video'. If it doesn't, change it to 'S Video'.

I found that one of the pins on my S-Video cable connecting to the back of the DVD Player was bent. Once I straightened it out, and all of the pins connected properly, the B/W issues was resolved.
