I have the identical problem with my unit. I just got off the phone with Lowrance and was told that they no longer service this unit. they offered a rebate check on other models. Personnaly, I'll recheck power supply and down load updates. If that does not work it's going in the garbage and I'll purchase a unit from another manufacturer. I've read to many of the same comments online from many frustraited Lowrance owners. This will be my last Lowrance.

Throw your hard earned money in the garbage and buy from another company, Lowrance is good at taking your money, but when its time for repair they no longer repair or service these units. They insult you buy offering a coupon for another one of their crappy products. Why would I buy another one of your products? They must think that the fishing community is stupid.

The problem is the T3 Transformer. The primary windings short out and when the sonar kicks in it goes over current and resets or blows a fuse. You will need to rewind the transformer as this is a custome peice but it is very easy as transformers go. The primary is 46 truns of 24awg and the secondary is 164 turns of 26awg, pay attention to the winding direstion as it may be phase sensitive. Be sure to use mylar tape between the primary and secondary.

Had same problem. the cause was corrosion in the boat wiring. the power wire was corroded 95%thru. there was enough voltage to start the unit but when the sounder kicks in the voltage dropped below minimum and the unit shut off. took a LOOOONG time to find.

Just got it. Plugged in and connected wires to 12v battery. Held light/power button 5 secs. Wont start

First, just press and release the power button, you don't have to hold it in.
second, is your battery fully charged?
third, red wire to positive terminal, black wire to negative.
These are obvious things to check, but sometimes the simplest answer is the solution.
Did you install the fuse holder included with the unit? If so dI'd you put in the 3 amp fuse?
If none of these things work, call lowrance. I work in retail and have experienced taking brand new units out of the box and upon hooking them to power discover they were dead. Defective straight from the factory.
Good luck.

When puushing the buttons on x125 will not react try to set program can not page up or down can not get into programs it will not power down

Your system is a bit older and may be reaching the end of its life. PrI or to giving up hope try a hard restart.with the unit turned off press and hold both the zoom in and zoom out and release the power button to turn the unit on while you continue to hold both zoom buttons release the zoom buttons when you see a prompt appear on the screen. If this has no effect repeat the process only holding in the zoom out and pages buttons. Lowrance flip flops back and forth on their button configuration for doing hard restarts and I can never keep them straight from unit to unit. Hope this helps.

How i can reset an a lowrance endura sierra?

Hello there:
here is what you can try to do is first unplug any power going to the unit and remove the battery these units have a internal reset device that will reset it'self after a given amount of time which is about 1 hour.
during this time press in on the power button for 2 minutes and if it has a reset button it press in on this for 2 min leave the battery and the power out of the unit for the rest of the remaining time i had mentioned.
now plug in the power cord back in it and start the unit now if it works ok simply turn off and replace the battery and you are now done ok
Hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards Michael

Lowrance 330c screen says '' boot failed''

Try a hard reset:

1. Turn the LMS-330 off
2. Press and hold the ZIN, ZOUT, and PWR buttons
3. Release the three buttons once you see the "warning, do not rely..." message appear

If you get that far, the problem is solved. If you get boot failed again, try installing the latest update which can be downloaded from

If you still get boot failed, you will need to get the LMS-330 repaired/replaced. You can contact Lowrance support at 800-324-1356 or email them by going to

I have the same problem, it started after updating. Spoke with Lowrance tech and said it is a hard drive problem.
I had to purchase a 600 for $250 because they gave me a discount for having paid for the update and the unit
is malfunctioning. They refused to consider that it may be a software problem. The screen loses calibration and
the unit goes balistic with the orientation. Have had the unit for 4 years with no problem until updates were installed

Cannot access main menu or pages screen

I think I can help with your issue. I have an LMS 334c and have had a few issues in the past. Called the factory (this answer is not listed any where in your manual) and they instructed me to "Soft Re Boot" my unit and it would put everything back to factory settings. Try this anytime it does not respond for whatever reason.

Turn the unit off.

At the same time press the Pages and Power button. Hold both down until you see the square box come up in the screen. You should have your factory settings again. May need to try a few times.
Lowrance said it works just like a computer, ever now and then it just tries to disect to much information at one time and hangs up.
Good luck. James Cantwell
