To Reboot your sansa e250 without removing batteries . Switch to hold position ( right beside headphone jack ) Press and hold menu and rec buttons at the same time untill screen resets. On my player lock up usually happens when it hits a corrupt song - try to delete and reload the culprit to minimize future lock ups. Hope this helps someone out there.

You just have to hold the power button until it turns off no matter how long it takes i did it and it worked just find dont take the time to unscrew everything its pointless.

Undo the screws in the back and take the battery out the sansa will turn off. Put the battery back in and screw the back on again. Now just turn the sansa back on and it should work perfect. (Warning Do Not Lose The Screws) I hope this advice helps.
