Won't read any cd
Won't read any cd? Not even a store bought cd?
Remove the Power Cord, Remove the Battery, turn the laptop over and remove the one screw that holds the cd drive in place and pull the cd drive out then put it back in. Reboot and see if it's ok.
Click Start/My Computer and see if your cd drive is listed as a device. If not you will need to remove Upper & Lower Filters.

The disk-drive that is your 'C:' drive has malfunctioned.
So, the copy of Microsoft Windows stored on that disk-drive cannot be loaded.
Take your computer, and the set of "System Restore" CD/DVD disks, to a computer-store. You'll need to buy a new disk-drive, and to reinstall Windows onto the new disk-drive.
