Flashing Loading sign on start up

Hi i purchased a DR MH30SE which has worked for me superbly up until now. It initially started with a problem ejecting a DVD and has now progres to a constant loading message and does not respond to any of the reset functions. Its a fantastic piece of equipment and i would like to keep using it. It was bought in Germany so i'm not sure if the warranty over here is the same. I have searched the web and apparently there is a mod for it. Does that mean its a known fault!? Can anyone help. I have taken the system out and tried to reinstall it days later and the loading msg keeps coming up. i have tried to leave it on but after 9 hrs i got fed up of looking at the blue flashing lights HELP Please!!!

Try warming it up with a hair dryer or something. If that helps, it could indicate power supply problems. Like capacitors.

I have the US model and had the problem off and on since I bought it. A few weeks ago it finally would not submit to any of my tries at resetting it. I sent it back to JVC and they told me the hard drive crashed and that was the cause. They'll install a new hard drive for $400+ - more than I paid for it.

It is a known fault and therefore the manufacturer should do something about it, although if not in the country purchased, does complicate things, but there is nothing to stop you contacting JVC Germany. Find the name and address of the Chief Executive and explain the problem. If purchased in this country trading standards should help you obtaining repair from the retailer you purchased it from. If you can prove an inherent fault, the seller has some responsibility for up to 6 years. do some research on the net, try here for starters, http://cippico.com/bbs/viewforum.php?f=4&sid=5b6e889fbced7a4e6905f66517c74b3f good luck! Says "dr", will not start

Hi,

The error clearly indicates bad door switch. Very simple to fix, have to take top off and loosen switch from front panel. Remove and replace.
Part #131763245 and suggested retail price $50.

Thank you

Just purchased a 2 yrold Kenmore French Dr/Freezer on the bottom frig How long until it starts making ice. I've had it plugged in for 28 hours now. It's hardly cold inside. AHH! Help please.

From initial start-up you should be at operating temperature in 24-48 hours depending on the ambient temperature. Both controls should be on the mid setting. Make sure the condenser fan underneath is operating and the coils should be very warm. If not there may be a problem in the sealed system.

Canon DR-3080 CII scans only half or right side of document

Try all formats, Color, Grey & Black & white. If you have problem it could be the scan module. Check for loose contacts, but this is rare in a working machine.

JVC DR-MX1S

This machine has a lot of problems. One thing that often works is to turn it off and unplug it for a couple of minutes. Then plug it in again. Then it will say "loading" for quite a while. Leave it alone until it turns itself on. Then it should be okay. If the couple of minutes doesn't work, sometimes unplugged overnight (same method) works, but then you have to reset everything.
