Hi,
i am using ur poweredgeserver.Now the SMPS has gone off.
I would like to know can i retrive the data from the server.

The best solution is to get another power supply and back the data up.

If you can't do that, and you have SCSI drives, then I would suggest marking the drives (0, 1, 2, 3, etc) and putting them in another Dell Power Edge server with the same RAID card and reading them that way. It can be dangerous to your data if you don't know what you are doing.

There are programs out there that can help you re-construct your RAID if needed. CaptainNemo and RAID Reconstructor have helped me in the past. If you have a Dell Perc 3/DI in your existing server, I may have the parameters for those programs.

The only other place that I know of is eBay. Dell is very slow getting a replacement to you and eBay has increase its standards to prevent fraud and misrepresentation. I would check there. If you see one you like, you can email the seller if you have any questions.

Well , it depends on how did u configured your outlook. which accoutn did u configurd, there are options if you allowed ur outlook to save emails into your computer hardesk and not save any copy on mail server then u dont have your emails back, however if u didnt choose the option then u will be able to retrive back your emails..

hi prasad, u r getting a lesser memory because you motherboard consumes 64mb for its shared usage... this is common, certain motherboards comes with a builtin shared memory, some does not...
right now the SMPS on your computer might have gone bad, u can check with a different SMPS... Sometimes even the board might have shorted, in this case you can service ur board... it may costs around Rs.400

Hi,
Kindly check the UPS output and also see if all your SMPS have got damaged due to excess power . Try a work around by replacing one SMPS with a new one . Also check you have antivirus installed with all the latest updates .Service pack up to date. Good Luck.

do not use ur card anymore. dont format it or paste something new

on it

download it.

the file system for your card is FAT or FAT32.

so use the FAT one.

if u want to recover u r data .witch is formatted u .it can only possible with use of third party software such as Data recovery.please download it from Internet it's free .....

A31 won't boot
if your OS is Win XP then UR MBR has gone currupt . You will have to reload the windows or at least repair it.
1. in repair you wont lose the data but in fresh loading of OS in C drive will delete your data in My documents and at desk top.
2. if there is some important data there then first retrive it by making ur drive as slave in other PC and then do the format.
