Green vertical lines on the screen

When i first power on there are two green bars on the left side and three on the left about (1 1/2" wide) with a black back ground. after a few min. the screen is fulled with vertical lines, about 1/6" to 1/2" wide. sound is good. what do u think??

Sounds like you may have some bad filter capacitors in the convergence board. Better take a close look at them before they damage the chips. Good Luck

Green vertical line on videocon 42inch plasma tv

Hello Depending how wide the line is their could be two possible causes.
I have two questions for you.
1. How wide is the line.
2. Does it run from top of screen to bottom of screen?
If the line is thin a single strait line then it is possible the PDP has gone Bad (Panel). (Screen). The screen will to be replaced.
If the line is at least 2 or more inches wide then its a buffer board which can be replaced. LG calls this board Hand insert Boards or display driver boards..
