Sometimes my Panasonic Mini DV will suddenly say Push the reset button, but as many times as I do this it keeps repeating that. I used to be able to take out the battery and it would work again but nothing works anymore. PLEASE POST ANY TIPS!!
You need to know in which position was camera turned of.
So try turning it on in RECORD OR PLAY position.
It will work then...

My camera has been doing this too, searched this site not through product but problem and found this solution posted by "margarita" for another camera. Said to try removing/replacing the tape. When I pushed the eject button the tape did not come up, removed the battery for a minute and tried again. This time the tape came up so I removed it and put it back in, it seems to have worked. The reset button is not flashing and it did record and playback when I tried them.

SOURCE: Push the reset button
Dude, I have the same problem.Whenever I am getting ready to film, and I also have a Panasonic MiniDV camcorder, it will Say PRESS THE RESET BUTTON. I also have the same problem about the cassette holder, for it won't open. I don't know what the hell is going on with it. I have a model PV-GS9.

SOURCE: Push the reset button
This error indicates a cassette mechanism malfunction.
It happens usually when you don't operate the camecorder for long time
leaving the cassette inside and the battery attached.
Solution:
1. Open the cassette housing and nock GENTLY with your finger tip
on the cassette cabinet (particularly on the position marked "push") until
the cassette is released.
2. Push on the right place (marked "push") to close and then close the
cassette housing
3. Operate the cassette (play, fast forward/backward).
Repeat the above steps several times until the problem is gone.
Advise: Remove the battery and cassette when leaving the camecorder
for long period without being operated, and store the camcorder in a
dust/humidity protected place.
Hope this can help.
