Re:
Before you throw it, save all the settings in router and try a re-start or there is normally a re-set button somewhere to press and set it back to factory settings.
If the wireless re starts re-load previous settings.

some routers dont have wps button but if you need to reset router To restart the Dell TrueMobile 2300 Wireless Broadband Router, unplug the power connector and plug it back in.
To load the Dell TrueMobile 2300 Wireless Broadband Router's default settings, hold down the reset button on the router for at least five seconds. While the unit resets, the Power light blinks.
To isolate the problem try installing the adapter to a different computer and if it works there it could be that your card slot is defective. As for the router try to reset it
This is usually a router configuration issue. The router has to be configured to match your new broadband settings.
For example, your old DSL may have required some kind of login which was entered into the router. For most broadband cable connections, you set the router to get an IP address automatically.
Re-run the router Setup Wizard. You can download it here:
You may need to enable the wireless signal within the router settings, but you will have to connect to it via an RJ45 lan cable, as you would of when you first set it up.
Type in the routers ip address in your internet browser and get into the routers settings that way.
