Question about Panasonic PV-GS31 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I have the pv-gs31 panasonic camcorder and have a video that I want uploaded to my computer. I use Windows XP. I have the usb port wire that connects to the computer to my camera. I do not have any software that came with the camera. How do I get the video off of the tape in my camcorder onto my computer? I tried using Windows Movie Maker to retrieve my video but it says I don't have the camera connected but my computer says that it is connected. Help please!
The usb is only used for the still pics and for the webcam. You need a DV cable to upload vid.

Browse through you camera's main menu. There might be a function that will enable you to switch from tape to sd card.
