Won't send or receive text messages.

That chiming you're hearing is because your phone is attempting to download the messages from the server but the text message memory is full. Try clearing out some (or all) or your sent and received messages and it will work just fine.

I had the same problem twice when I changed service on the phone, once when I asked to change from a fixed rate for 200 messages per month to pay-per-use and the second time when I changed phones out with the same number. They just turned off my text messaging and I had to call to have them reactivate it. Help this helps.

Had a similar LG phone problem. I couldn't send picture texts from my Cosmos 2 nor could my sister send them from her Cosmos Touch. I tried putting all transferable files to Card and then calling Verizon's *228 activation number and choosing Option 1. I succeeded-and so did my sister when she did this with her phone.

Try doing this with your phone and carrier.
