Did the television come with a code?

I unplugged my TV for 5 minutes after 5 minutes I pressed the Power button on the side of the TV not the power button on remote for a full minute. Plugged the TV back in, pressed the power button and it turned on. Doing this essentially does a reset.

try unplugging for 10 min. and plug back in, hopefully it resets.

Hi Joanne, The eject button ( micro switch ) on the TV is defective. Please get it changed and the stuck DVD will come out.

There is no such external buttons for reset, to modern TV circuits. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

There have not been "reset buttons" in TV's for decades to my knowledge - they were too slow to react in solid state sets, and were expensive to boot. You would be better off in my opinion (after working on TV's since 1976) in buying a better brand of TV. I've had good luck with Vizio for value and reliability. Other brands to consider that I'm familiar with are LG and Samsung, A website that makes comparasions easy has been Best Buy. Just stay away from their knock off brands, and do cross checks with Amazon and others.

If the picture went blank, either the TV has no signal or something is defective within the TV's electronic components. There is no reset button that will repair a broken TV.

It is not he problem with your Coby's TV section. It is due to the fault in the DVD section. You just reset your Coby set to factory settings according to it user manual.

Just unplug your tv from AC mains wall socket and left it in that state for about one hour will reset it automatically. OK.
