I think i have this crib i know it is by childesigns but it also has a sticker on bottom that says generation2worldwide but anyway my 7 1/2 month old child is starting to stand up in this crib and he can fall out because the matress is not low enough. I was wondering how low this crib can be lowered or anything to get the mattress lower.

I think you are looking for metal brackets that attach to the mattress support made of wood.
Generation 2 went out of business and they are almost impossible to find parts for. Feel free to email a picture of you mattress support to [email protected] and we will see if
we have a set. Visit us at http://www.other-mothers.com

Basset cribs require removing four 3/8 inch bolts from each corner post. These bolts connect the matress support to the posts via a 4 inch steel bar. There are three levels of adjustment. Remove the matress, back out the bolts, decide what level fits your needs and raise or lower accordingly.

This mattress on this one can be lowered by taking the mattress out and lowering the springs to the bottom set of holes. Need tools. Not hard to do.

I am not familiar with this crib, but I have been through many cribs and they all (so far) are adjustable to lower the mattress. You can figure it out by removing the mattress and matress board and inspecting the way the board is connected to the frame. Often there is a bar or rung that sits in a clip or groove at each corner of the crib just below the matress board. You may have to crawl underneath and look up at it. Usually you will be able to lower the platform without using tools, but be sure to take the weight off the platform by removing the mattress and board. Good luck.
