Question about Nikon D70s Digital Camera

1 Answer

Nikon D70 (Control Panel.)

I have a Nikon D70. It has developed a problem when you turn it on, the control panel is blank. I have replaced the battery with a new one and still have the problem. The memory access card lamp flashes all the time and when you select the menu button it just flashes on and off and you are unable to select any options. I would be gratefull for any suggestions. Best Regards Lennie

My Nikon N50's LCD panel does not work. Everything else works fine; theflash, shutter everything. Help Me Please?

Possible failure of the display unit of the camera is the picture taken is sowing good image after downloading on the PC.
If so the panel must be taken out and checked for voltage on the pad, the flexible strip that connects the display also can be faulty.
You will need to have some experience to open and probe into the display unit.

How to activate self timer Nikon D70

On top of camera body, press the button that looks like numerous pages (to right of BKT button), while at same time rotate command dial until a clock looking image (circle with arrow at approximately 11 o'clock) is displayed in control panel. I suggest you RTFM or if you don't have a manual. download from nikonusa.com and READ IT!!!

Is there a self timer option on the D70?

Hi David,
The D70 has a setting on the timer, and the explanation can also be found in your manual on page 105.
Steps:
1. go to your "Custom Setting" menu (looks like a pencil) and go down to item 24, "Self-Timer." Select the number of seconds delay you desire.

2. Press the "Format" button and rotate the main dial until you see a small clock symbol on the Control Panel.

3. The camera is now ready for delayed shutter. Don't forget to set the "Format" back to S for single shooting afterwards.

Hope this helps,

Andrew

Hello,
I got this info from Nikon for D70...
When you see Err on the control panel, LCD monitor or viewfinder of your digital camera it refers to a camera malfunction. Try the following:
  1. Remove all accessories from the camera.
  2. Install a freshly charged battery into the camera.
  3. If your Nikon camera offers resets such as the two-button reset or a hardware reset please follow those instructions provided in the product manual.
If these steps do not resolve the Err message we recommend having a Nikon Authorized Repair Technician evaluate the Nikon camera.
Hope this be useful for you to resolve problem.
