Hello. I have a Samsung SC-D363 Mini DV Digital Cam that I just got about 4 weeks ago. I played a tape for my sister, and then these green bars showed up. At first I thought it was the tape, but when I went to play all my other tapes, thery were all the same. Can you please give me advice?
Re: Horizontal green bars whenever I play my tape!
Thank you! I had the pink lines and terrible sound coming through on mine. I blamed my wife thinking she might have dropped while on vacation. You never really think about those things getting dirty and doing somthing like that. I bought the Dynex MiniDV Head cleaner and fixed it right up.

Sounds like dirty video heads which is going to require a mini dv cleaning tape to clean the heads and the tape path. Worst case scenario if cleaning doesnt help is that it may need the video heads replaced.
I hope this helps.
maybe a loose connection inside.. does everything work correctly but the outside play,rr,ff buttons ? it is a loose connection.. be careful. make ure all batteries are off.. internal one if it has one.. then turn unit to play ..wait app. 2 min.. then u turn it off and open it up.. look for a loose or connection that is not connected
You cannot transfer the video from Mini-DV to SD card within your camera as your camcorder does not have this feature. If your purpose for finding this function is to transfer your footage to your computer, you may try using the firewire port in your camera to connect it to your pc.
If you need help with the firewire connection, feel free to post a follow up.
Hope this helps!
sir if your camcorder is new then it has a warranty. we should send it first for their service because they have a spare parts for replacement and info. if your going to fix it by yourself then the warranty of that will be void. by the way the place for the service center for camcorder samsung in the philippines is in makati i think. i got a problem with my samsung just like your model and they told me that it is located at makati. hope that helps!
Someone here recommended on another post to put the lense cap on &
videotape the blackness in a quiet room for 5-10 mins. I tried this as
a last resort & it worked. When I played back the tape, no more
skipping or gray lines. I had 4-5 SOLID gray lines with skipping video
& audio in between on every tape I put in. I think the person who
helped me solve this said that it was a result of the tape alignment
going off. My camera is a Canon zr80 digital camcorder. (Called Canon, they had me reset it & then recommended sending it in).
