I have an Akai pt4298hd that I aquired a short time ago that a 3 year old sprayed cleaning fluid on. It burned a hole in the red crt board. I replaced all the boards as a unit and the t.v. is up and running. The picture and colors are sharp, however, there are faint diagonal lines that will come and go in what seems to be a clockwise pattern. They seem to cycle about every 1-2 minutes. I do not believe the problem lies in the crt board adjustments because anything I do, including going to just black and white, there is no change. I thought it might be some sort of reception problem, but no change through a dvd player, different cables, etc. Everything looks great except for these annoying lines. Does this sound like a bad component? Any help is appreciated.

It should hold between 10-13 qts It all depends on how big of cooler you have and if the lines, cooler, and torque converter are completely drained. Heres a tip before you start the car take the tranny lines off the tranny and take a 6'(it dont have to be exactly 6") long rubber hose that fits tight on 1 of the tranny lines. Slide it over the line and clamp it on there, take a pick, nail, screw or anything that will make a small hole. Make a hole in the rubber hose about 2" from the tranny line. Get 1 or 2 cans of brake clean put the straw from the brake clean in the hole you made and put an air blower in the other end of your hose. start spraying the brake clean and the air blower at the same time and keep spraying till it is flowing clear out of the other tranny line. Make sure your flowing through the cooler and not the tranny. By doing this you get all the crappy tranny fluid from the old tranny out of the lines and cooler. Watch your eyes it burns very bad if you get brake clean in them. WEAR GOOGLES OR SAFETY GLASSES!!!! Goodluck, Kyle
Make sure you get the CG Board Part number:
There are other boards in this set that say convergence, but, they are not the boards you want.
Easy to replace.

OK YOU CANT 'BURN' A REAR PROJECTION BUT THE CONVERGANCE CAN BE GOING OUT BUT I WOULD GUESS THE SIGNAL TELLING THE PROCESSOR - OR THE PROCESSOR ITS SELF- IS PROBLY GOING OUT WHICH MEANS A BOARD NEEDS REPLACING I DONT KNOW WHICH ONE I WOULD GET A PRO TO CHECK IT AND TELL YOU WHICH ONE IT IS THEN ORDER IT ONLINE AND REPLACE IT YOURSELF
